To create these images, I have basically created a ellipse, this is to create the circle in which I place the images, to create the desired outcome of my clock. The second part of the process was to search for the image I wanted to use for the designs. Once I had found the image I wanted I croped the background out and resized it. Lastly I went to Image – adjustments – threshold.
Here is an initial idea for what I would like my final vinyl clock to appear as. The idea is to have a cross-section which follows the theme of assemblage. The biggest problem for me is that there is a lot of black vinyl still showing. Also, I would like to add some other colour to it such as grey. so it follows a colour scheme of black, white and grey. this is a colour theme which most planes follow, due to the fact that most planes are made of aluminium. 
I have done a mood board to show a representation of the parts which can be found in a typical aircraft. There are some parts of this mood board which contain car parts this is down to the fact that I could not find copyright free images for certain aspects of the mood, e.g. wheels and cylinders.
Review / Reflection
On reflection on this mood board I have decided not use engine parts, this is due to the fact that complex of these images can be to cut out when using a crafting knife.
I like the idea of vinyl clocks, the main reason why I like the idea of vinyl is because of the old feel to it as well as the simplicity of vinyl because of the colour scheme as you can either have it two ways have the main colour of black with the background images being white or vice server.
Review / Reflection
On reflection on the idea of surrealism being on my vinyl clock I have decided not to do this, this is down to the fact that I don’t think that it belongs on my blog. Also the fact that I couldn’t get access to a laser cutter meaning that I could not get more intricate cuts which would have been needed if I wanted to do a skeleton in a plane.
